REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: Beautiful day with no wind and a massive line of pollen on the water until 2 p.m. Racing started in a light southerly that died off. An easterly filled late in the day which provided some nice racing. Last race finished at 6:45 p.m.
Sunday: Easterly winds were shifty and velocity was all over the place as storm cells rumbled by. Unfortunately, racing had to be postponed after race 7B for about an hour while lightning and a fierce down pour prevented competition. Very tight competition among the top five teams.
William Smith, Navy, St. Mary's and Georgetown qualify for nationals at Salve Regina and Brown Universities, May 26-28.
